Sainte-Chapelle

Sainte-Chapelle was built between 1242 and 1248 in accordance with Louis IX's wishes, for the relics of the Passion of Christ.

Sainte-Chapelle a été construire entre 1242 et 1248, conformément à les voeux de Louis IX--pour les reliques de Christ. 

It is a symbol of royalty of divine right, particularly during the French Revolution. After 1846, the chapel underwent a lot of restoration, especially its stained glass windows.
