Rouen is located in upper Normandy, west of Paris. During the Middle Ages the city was very prosperous and was once the capital of the Anglo-Normand dynasty that ruled England and Normandy between the 11th and 15th centuries. The city is also famous because Joan of Arc was executed here in 1431.
Rouen est situé à la Haute-Normandie, à l'ouest de Paris. Pendant les Moyens Âges, la ville a été très prospéré et il a été une capitale de la dynaste Anglo-Normand, qui a gouverné l'Angleterre et la Normandie entre la onzième et la quinzième siècles. La ville est aussi fameuse parce que c'est Jeanne d'Arc a été exécuté ici en 1431.
